Application Developer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Application Developer to join our team in Malta. As an Application Developer, you will play a crucial role in the entire application life cycle, focusing on coding, debugging, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our applications. This is a hybrid work opportunity, allowing you to work both remotely and on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the entire application life cycle, with a primary focus on coding and debugging.
• Build and execute unit tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the applications.
• Develop reusable code and libraries that can be utilized in future projects.
• Document solutions clearly and comprehensively for all stakeholders.
• Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with other team members to establish objectives and design functional requirements for new projects.

Requirements:

• A University Degree in IT or related professional qualifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in application development with C++, Lua, Ruby, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Good knowledge of software development life-cycle processes.
• Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases, ideally ScyllaDB and/or Cassandra.
• Familiarity with programming practices will be considered an asset.
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English.
• Interest in learning how the payments industry works and exploring new trends within the industry.
