We are currently assisting our client, a reputable company in Gozo, in their search for a dedicated Stock Controller Clerk to join their Maintenance Department. This exciting opportunity does not require prior experience, as training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have a good level of Italian (minimum B2) to effectively communicate with suppliers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Placing orders with suppliers: Collaborate with the Maintenance team to identify and assess the required supplies and materials. Effectively communicate with suppliers in Italian to place orders accurately and promptly.
  • Inputting of orders: Enter and maintain accurate records of orders into the company’s inventory management system or designated software. Ensure all relevant details, such as item descriptions, quantities, and delivery dates, are recorded correctly.
  • Monitoring of stock levels: Regularly monitor stock levels to identify any shortages or excesses. Collaborate with the Maintenance team to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to support ongoing operations.
  • Compiling and analyzing reports: Assist management by compiling and analyzing reports related to inventory, order status, and other maintenance-related data. Provide insights and recommendations based on the analysis to support decision-making processes.

Job Requirements: 

  • Italian language proficiency: Possess a minimum B2 level of Italian language skills to effectively communicate with suppliers. Proficiency in additional languages will be considered an asset.
  • Computer literacy: Demonstrate proficiency in using computers and relevant software applications, such as inventory management systems, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
  • Positive attitude with an outgoing approach: Maintain a positive and proactive attitude towards work, demonstrating enthusiasm, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
  • Mature and energetic: Display maturity in handling responsibilities and interacting with colleagues and suppliers. Exhibit energy and drive to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

While prior experience is not required for this position, candidates with relevant experience or knowledge in maintenance-related tasks or supplier relations are encouraged to highlight such qualifications.
