Paralegal

Our client, a global Corporate Service Provider, is seeking a Paralegal with experience in Malta to join their Legal Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with various corporate matters, ensuring timely submission of legal obligations, conducting legal research and drafting/reviewing corporate governance documents and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with queries related to corporate matters

• Ensure timely submission of any statutory filings and legal obligations

• Handle and assist in the formation, dissolution and restructuring of legal structures

• Draft and review corporate governance documents

• Draft and review contracts in accordance with clients’ needs

• Conduct legal research in accordance with clients’ needs

• Liaise with various authorities and professional services firms to support clients in their operations

• Assist with documentations related to commercial transactions, including those related to the sale and acquisition of vessels and aircrafts

• Advise on and administer crew and employment matters

• Provide support to the Legal Department as necessary

• Other related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Law

• Prior legal experience will be considered an asset, although not required as full training will be provided

• Capable of working independently, as well as in a team

• High attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines and possess a pro-active approach

• Responsible to keep up-to-date with developments in local legislation and regulations including AML/CFT requirements

• Open to fresh graduates in Law

• No warrant needed

• Can also consider Non-Maltese legal professionals as long as they have perfect English and have work experience in Malta.
