Our client is a leading Corporate Service Provider Group with a diverse portfolio of clients. They offer a comprehensive range of services in the areas of Accounts, Legal, Tax, Corporate, and Advisory. With a focus on delivering top-level service, maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and providing a great work environment, they are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Executive to manage their internal accounting department.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the month-end process and ensuring the timely finalization of management accounts.
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT Returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with auditors during the end-of-year financial statements audit and tax return preparation.
- Preparing various reports for management, including budgets, financial analysis, and other ad hoc reports as required.
- Coordinating and supervising junior members of the finance team, providing guidance and support when needed.
- Reporting directly to the CFO and Board of Directors, presenting financial information and providing insights and recommendations.
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records are maintained, adhering to relevant accounting standards and company policies.
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of experience in an accounting-based role, preferably in a similar capacity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software.
- Previous experience using SAGE accounting software will be considered an asset.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English, with strong communication skills.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Maltese accounting and tax regulations is preferred.
