The Senior Finance Executive role is a hybrid position that combines accounting, commercial knowledge, time management skills, IT capabilities, and effective problem-solving. The role is critical to the delivery capability of the Group finance function. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting and finance functions that support the internal accounts within the internal department.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Prepare monthly management accounts and assist in the preparation of group budgets
- Conduct cashflow analyses and provide ad hoc reporting in a timely manner
- Liaise with external auditors and prepare quarterly VAT returns while ensuring compliance with VAT legislation
- Report to the Finance Manager on all finance and accounting matters
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior accounting or finance role
- In possession of a recognised accounting professional qualification or final stages of certification with a suitable level of experience will be considered.
- Must be honest and trustworthy and have a strong work ethic
- Must be flexible and able to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Must be willing to adopt a hands-on approach
This role does not involve client accounting, and there is no holding of a portfolio. The Senior Finance Executive will focus on the accounting and finance of ARQ Group’s internal accounts within the internal department.
